Planning calculators

Each one answers a single question properly. Start with the one that matches the decision in front of you.

SIP Project the future value of a fixed monthly investment over any horizon. Open calculator → Step-Up SIP See what an annual increase in your SIP does to the final corpus. Open calculator → Lumpsum Growth of a single investment compounding over your chosen period. Open calculator → SWP How long a corpus lasts at a given monthly withdrawal, and what remains. Open calculator → SIP to SWP Accumulate with a SIP, then draw a monthly income — both phases in one projection. Open calculator → STP Move a lumpsum into equity in monthly tranches and see both funds evolve. Open calculator → Goal Planner Work backwards from a target amount and date to the monthly amount required. Open calculator → Combined A lumpsum, a SIP, a step-up and yearly additions modelled together. Open calculator → Delay Cost What postponing the start by a few years costs you in final corpus. Interpretation

Using the output well

A calculator answers one question well and everything else badly. Three things worth remembering before you act on a number.

01

The rate is an assumption

Run the same plan at a lower rate too. If it still works, the plan is robust.

02

Inflate the goal

A cost fifteen years away is not today’s cost. Plan against the future number.

03

Returns are not straight

The curve a calculator draws is smooth. Real markets are not. Horizon is what absorbs that.

Every projection assumes a constant rate of return that you choose. Actual mutual fund returns vary and are not guaranteed.
