This policy explains what personal information The Capital Investment collects through thecapitalinvestment.in, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website. Information you give us in the course of an investment transaction is additionally governed by the KYC requirements of the asset management company and the relevant registrar.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you use the contact form we collect your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, the topic you select and your message.
- Calculator PDF details. When you generate a PDF from a calculator we ask for your name and mobile number, and we record which calculator was used and when.
- Saved calculator results. If you use the save feature, the figures you entered are stored in your own browser’s local storage on your device. We cannot read that data.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us through this website, your PAN, bank account details, folio numbers, passwords or any other sensitive financial credential.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss investment planning with you.
- To know who has generated an illustration, so that a follow-up conversation has context.
- To keep the website working and to understand which pages are used.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not pass it to data brokers.
Who it is shared with
Enquiry form submissions are processed by Formspree, a form-handling service, which delivers them to our email. Calculator PDF records are stored using Google Firebase. Both are third-party processors acting on our behalf, and both apply their own security and privacy terms.
Where you proceed to invest, the information required for that transaction is shared with the relevant asset management company and registrar, as required to execute and service the investment. That sharing is a necessary part of the transaction, not a marketing disclosure.
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation or a lawful request from a competent authority.
How long it is kept
Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond and, where a relationship begins, for the period required by applicable record-keeping obligations. Calculator PDF records are kept so that we can see who generated an illustration; you may ask us to delete them at any time. Results saved in your browser remain on your device until you clear them.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for two purposes only: to remember calculator inputs and saved results on your device, and to remember interface preferences. Clearing your browser data removes both.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your enquiry or PDF record.
- Ask us to stop contacting you. We act on that immediately.
Write to contact@thecapitalinvestment.in with your request. We respond within a reasonable period, normally within seven working days.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable safeguards to the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Investments for minors are made by a guardian, whose details are the ones collected.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
