This policy explains what personal information The Capital Investment collects through thecapitalinvestment.in, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website. Information you give us in the course of an investment transaction is additionally governed by the KYC requirements of the asset management company and the relevant registrar.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you use the contact form we collect your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, the topic you select and your message.
- Calculator PDF details. When you generate a PDF from a calculator we ask for your name and mobile number, and we record which calculator was used and when.
- Saved calculator results. If you use the save feature, the figures you entered are stored in your own browser’s local storage on your device. We cannot read that data.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us through this website, your PAN, bank account details, folio numbers, passwords or any other sensitive financial credential.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss investment planning with you.
- To know who has generated an illustration, so that a follow-up conversation has context.
- To keep the website working and to understand which pages are used.
We do not sell personal information and we do not pass it to data brokers. Your name, mobile number, email and investment details are not used for advertising. If you accept the cookie banner, the Meta Pixel described under “Cookies and local storage” measures ad visits and enquiries without these details.
Who it is shared with
Enquiry form submissions are processed by Formspree, a form-handling service, which delivers them to our email. Calculator PDF records, sign-in details, saved profile data and webinar registrations are stored using Google Firebase. WhatsApp messages you request (login codes, calculator PDFs, webinar reminders and recordings) are sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta, from our server hosted with Hostinger. These are third-party processors acting on our behalf, and each applies its own security and privacy terms. If you accept the cookie banner, Meta Platforms receives the pages you visit and the type of action you take on this website through the Meta Pixel, under Meta’s own privacy policy.
Google and YouTube: our administrator can sign in with Google to choose a webinar video from our own YouTube channel. This uses read-only access (YouTube Data API, scope youtube.readonly) to list the channel's videos and read their title, schedule, description and thumbnail. It is used only inside our admin page, only for our own channel, and only to fill in webinar details. Nothing from YouTube is stored except the video we pick, its details and its poster; no YouTube data is shared with or sold to anyone. Visitors are never asked for YouTube access. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps.
Where you proceed to invest, the information required for that transaction is shared with the relevant asset management company and registrar, as required to execute and service the investment. That sharing is a necessary part of the transaction, not a marketing disclosure.
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation or a lawful request from a competent authority.
How long it is kept
Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond and, where a relationship begins, for the period required by applicable record-keeping obligations. Calculator PDF records are kept so that we can see who generated an illustration; you may ask us to delete them at any time. Results saved in your browser remain on your device until you clear them.
Cookies and local storage
With your consent, this website uses the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) to measure visits and enquiries that come from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. The Pixel loads only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner; if you decline, nothing is sent to Meta. We send Meta only the page visited and the type of action (for example a WhatsApp click or a submitted enquiry), never your name, mobile number, email or investment details. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.
The website also uses your browser’s local storage to remember calculator inputs and saved results on your device, interface preferences, and your cookie choice. Clearing your browser data removes these.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your account, enquiry, webinar registration or PDF record.
- Ask us to stop contacting you. We act on that immediately.
Write to contact@thecapitalinvestment.in with your request. We respond within a reasonable period, normally within seven working days.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable safeguards to the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Investments for minors are made by a guardian, whose details are the ones collected.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
